It is with great pleasure that we recommend you read the study ’Rural Areas in Poland through the Lens of Statistics’. The publication was created, among others, for the European Congress of Renewal and Rural Development, the aim of which is to create a space for the exchange of experiences and discussion on the global challenges facing the contemporary European rural areas and agriculture.

The publication contains cartograms on various topics, including demographic, educational, infrastructural, environmental, social (together with participation) and financial issues.

All data have been presented from the perspective of rural inhabitants (including by gminas), which makes rural residents the main characters of this analysis.
